The term “tailor-made” describes work carried out with an exceptionally high level of care and quality in every detail, similar to that of a tailor creating a garment for a runway show. For this reason, we believe there is no better word to describe the Bespoke project, which saw our design team working on the interiors of a penthouse.
In line with the client’s request, who wanted to create a contemporary home equipped with every comfort, we furnished the residence with high-end custom-made furniture, crafted from quality materials and favouring neutral nuances. To complete the interior, we selected decorative objects with refined design, adding a more stylish touch to the home.
The Bespoke project concerns the interior design of a newly built penthouse. After consulting with the client and carefully studying the floor plan of the home, we developed the first architectural drawings and project moodboards. For us, the consultation phase is essential: it allows us to define the starting point of the project, clearly understand the client’s tastes and needs, and build a truly tailor-made solution.
The entrance to the penthouse is bright and luminous, characterised by an open-plan living area that includes kitchen, living room and dining area. The first elements to attract attention are certainly the dark walnut fluted wood boiseries that cover the walls of the entrance and living room. Like the other furnishings in the home, the boiseries were handcrafted by our master cabinetmakers and integrate LED lighting. This choice adds movement and creates a sophisticated atmosphere.
Next to the boiserie, we created a practical wardrobe for storing shoes and clothes, installing beside it a mirror with shelf and integrated lighting to give the room greater depth. Continuing into the living room, the focal point is immediately visible: the equipped wall with TV panel. The storage unit was made in matte lacquered wood, except for the book compartment, deliberately larger and in a contrasting colour to create an interesting chromatic and volumetric play.
On the rear wall, we inserted a white porcelain stoneware panel with black veining to house the television. Together with the boiseries, this element helps give a luxurious touch to the living area, framing the television almost like a painting.
Behind the sofa is the dining table with oak wood legs; above it hangs a geometric suspension lamp, a striking furnishing element that helps distribute light evenly. Finally, we arrive at the kitchen, arranged linearly along the wall and equipped with an island featuring sink, drawers, hob and snack counter.
The kitchen and island worktops were made in warm brown porcelain stoneware, an earthy tone that pairs beautifully with the hazelnut colour of the wall units. The kitchen is equipped with latest-generation appliances and compartments for tableware and small appliances. The element that catches the eye most is certainly the retractable doors: theatrical and functional at the same time.
The sleeping area consists of a laundry room, a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a child’s bedroom and a guest bathroom. The laundry room and guest bathroom feature a clean, linear design, with smart solutions for storing objects and hiding appliances from view. The master bathroom, on the other hand, has a more elegant touch thanks to the porcelain stoneware wall of the shower enclosure.
As in the rest of the home, the bedrooms were designed with a minimal style and neutral, relaxing tones, with furniture featuring modern lines. The fluted motif of the bed headboards is particularly interesting, echoing the one used for the boiseries in the living area. The project is completed by refined decorative objects that give the home a more personal character.
Custom design was the key element that allowed us to create the modern penthouse the client wanted, finding the right balance between aesthetics and functionality.
